"Freedom of Choice in Abortion" is the theme of an upcoming campaign by an alliance of pro-choice supporters in Westchester County. Their aim will be to make visible the pro-choice community in the county and to enlarge and encourage public participation in abortion rights activities.

Combining their efforts are Planned Parenthood of Westchester, the Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights, Catholics for a Free Choice, National Organization for Women (NOW) Southern Westchester Chapter, and the Westchester Coalition for Legal Abortion (WCLA).

Representatives of these groups met in White Plains to cheer their recent victory in maintaining Medicaid for abortion in New York State. Most of them supported the pro-choice lobbying effort in Albany. They, have sent representatives to Washington, D. C., for the 10th annual meeting of the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) in Washington, D. C.
