We are finalizing the details for our "three-day weekend"
counter-protests in NYC during the Republican Convention (August 28-30).
Please read this, pray for us, and join us if you can. And please, forward
this to anyone you know in the New York area who may want to join us.
Here's our tentative schedule:
*AUGUST 28th: On Saturday, at 12 noon hundreds of
Americans will join us to protest the "March of the Radical Feminists" as it
travels across the Brooklyn Bridge and then ends at City Hall Park. These are
the same pro-abortion radicals that sponsored the big March in DC on April
25th, where we garnered 25% of the media coverage (even though we were
outnumbered 250 to 1). Among the groups marching will be Planned Parenthood
Federation, NARAL, National Organization for Women (NOW), Religious Coalition
for Reproductive Choice, etc.
The chance to get media coverage -- as well as confront the
marchers with the TRUTH -- will be when they cross the bridge and when they
arrive at City Hall Park. We will wait on the Manhattan side of the
Brooklyn Bridge. When the front of their parade crosses, we'll take half
our crowd and walk alongside the VIPs and the media, countering their LIES
with the TRUTH as we go. This should net us some good coverage, and show that
not everyone in New York believes the LIES of the radical feminists.
We will leave half of our people at the bridge to protest the
marchers, and do interviews with any media.
Our people can then walk with the last of the Radical Feminist
Marchers to City Hall Park. We will have a designated meeting spot at City
Hall. We will stand on the fringe with signs, to confront their
consciences with the Truth. It will be over at 4 PM, so about a 4 hour effort.
*AUGUST 29th: On Sunday, we will gather at 11:00 AM at
Madison Square Garden. At noon, the so-called "United for Peace and
Justice" protesters will begin their march against traditional American values
and everything we hold dear. They will leave from 23rd and 7th Ave, traveling
North on 7th Ave. It will take the lead only about 5 minutes to get to us.
(Madison Square Garden is on 7th Ave, between 31st and 33rd Streets.) We will
be at the Garden - that is the whole point of their march -- they want the
"photo op" of passing by the Garden where the Republicans are holding their
convention. Being at the Garden will put us in their photo op and give us an
opportunity to meet the media.
*AUGUST 30th: On Monday, after an optional pro-life
protest from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM, we'll head back to Madison Square Garden,
to be as close as we can be to the Garden for our next protest.
Our message will be to protest all of the RINO's (Republicans
In Name Only) being embraced inside the Convention Hall; pro-choice
Republicans are no better than Kerry and Edwards, and we need to send a strong
message that Americans want a true pro-life Party. We must put PRINCIPLE ahead
of party.
Our protest at Madison Square Garden will go from 10:00 AM
until 2:00 PM. At 2:00 PM our work will be complete. We will pray, and head
our separate ways. By God's grace it will go well. Hopefully, we will get a
lot of media coverage. May God help us and be with us.
