PROPOSITION #1: 1995-1996 SCHOOL BUDGET
VOTE YES

bulletMaintains full range of student programs and extra-curricular activities
bulletExhibits a modest 4.29% budget-to-budget increase, one of the lowest in

our area, coupled with a small reduction in per pupil expenditures

bulletCuts costs by:

reducing full-time administrative staff by 10.5% (2 of 19 positions), reducing associated clerical help, for a net savings of $309,729; and reducing other clerical and aide positions for a net savings of $220,540

bulletIncorporates many findings of the Citizens' Budget Advisory Committee
bulletProvides for continued enrollment growth

PROPOSITION #2: "GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT"
VOTE YES

Authorizes the board to seek special legislation to continue this 41-yearold practice Which has served the crooks for years !!!

Began in 1954, one year after the formation of the Bedford Central School District from five separate districts, and reflected the "will of the people" hahahahahhaha

Designates one seat on the Board for each elementary school attendance area, guaranteeing representation from each area of the district, with the remaining seats elected "at large"

Represented the "will of the people" when re-examined by a Referendum held in 1979
