A- Nancy Stein Ex-Board Member, Founder of P.A.C.E. B- "Ropes" Siebert- retired French Teacher-recently sold house and moved down South C-Roberta Markowitz- public school supporter till she put her child in private school D- Richard Kraemer- retired to Stowe Vermont- famous for his "Prank Nights" Student smoking & update on anti-smoking campaign It was reported that there appears to be a reduction in the incidence of smoking on campus. The student group that includes Tinasha has put up signs in bathrooms promoting a non-smoking environment. Questions were raised about signage at the entrance to the campus. Bathrooms on E and F wing will be opened in early April. Steve Falcone will make an announcement at school regarding the opening of bathrooms and the need to respect the school environment.
Update on Compact Team involvement in architectural planning process Barbara Geddes, the lead architect, will be in the district at some time in April. When her schedule permits, she will take a tour of the building. The members of the SBC will be invited to come to this tour with the architect. Communication goal-ideas for the website Steve Falcone will communicate with webmaster Kluge to put SBC information on the web. Minutes (screened), membership, and by-laws will be posted. It was suggested that a handbook/guide be created that offers information to parents and students about the types of testing offered to students during their high school careers. This includes local testing, state testing, SAT I, SAT II, AP, and any others. Students at all grade levels take these tests, not just junior and seniors. COPA Day Nancy Stein shared that FLHS will host a special guest in late May. The Committee of Peace in conjunction with student government is coordinating this project. Arrangements to follow. Other There was a concern about starting times for spring athletics.
