Re: Appointment of Robyn Lane as "Teacher in Charge" for West Patent Elementary
Dear Mr. Alloy,
The 7/12/02 Agenda for the Regular Meeting of the Board of Education reveals the appointment of Robyn Lane as "Teacher in Charge at West Patent Elementary School beginning July 1, 2002.......at an annual salary of $97,500."
I have followed, as you know, the district's activities for years, and I am not familiar with the position of "Teacher in Charge." The job description files I have for administrative positions do not include one for "Teacher in Charge." Could you provide me the job description the Board authorized for this position?
For $97,500 it seems that this position is a substitute for what would normally be called a "principal." Is this an accurate characterization?
It seemed odd that her qualifications, work history and educational background were not listed as they customarily are when new hires are approved by the Board of Education. Could you please furnish her credentials?
Does Robyn Lane have provisional or permanent certification to be an elementary school principal?
