Local control of school districts is the foundation of school governance. A well functioning school board is both an example of democracy in action and a model of democracy for our students.

Community members need to know as much as possible about a candidate. The following questions can help citizens identify the candidates they support. These questions should also help prospective school board members think about the broad range of issues that form the basis of constructive boardsmanship.
